Welcome meeting and other updates

Over 30 people came to our first meeting of the year, in which Lucas, Chloe and Jeremy told us about the society, its aims as well as past and future events. Thanks to everyone who came along and showed interest in our Society, we really hope to see you soon! We're really excited to start the year properly and get stuck into some more wildlife conservation activities. Remember that wildlife conservation does not happen without people, and one of these people could very well be you, so please feel free to get involved. We are a very welcoming society and are always interested to hear new opinions and ideas.

We have also been on our first bird walks. We've been seeing extremely large numbers of crows around Bloomsbury, something we hadn't really noticed before. It's really interesting to see differences in bird species and abundances month to month and year to year, and just goes to show that it is possible to observe wildlife even in the middle of a highly-built urban area. Our next bird walk is this Friday 11th Oct, meeting at 9am in front of the Print Room Cafe.

Reminder that we are also going to Richmond Park this coming Sunday (13th October) for a guides Nature walk with one of the rangers. We will be meeting at 10am, location TBC, please check on our Facebook page. Everyone is welcome!

Our Facebook page always has updates on our activities. We also have a mailing list - please message us if you want to be added to it.

We hope to hear from you soon!

Best,

UCL Conservation Society
